Timberlake Association
- Annual Meeting
Throughout Timberlake's history, the camp has had a strong emphasis
on children and youth ministries, which continues today. Recently
there is a movement toward more adult usage of the site. Presently
the site has four primary lodging options:
- The Fort is a totally winterized facility appropriate for all
ages
- Treetopper Camp
- Railroad Town
- Lakeside Cabins
In addition there are 20 hookup sites in the RV Park.
With approximately 700 acres, the recreation possibilities are
endless. The canoeing, Blob, waterslide, horses, swimming, high
ropes challenge course and more is enjoyed by all.
The future is bright for Timberlake. The children's camps are at
capacity and the family camps are experiencing record attendance.
The long range plan includes steady growth and continued improvements
to the facility. Plans being made include a multipurpose building,
dining hall and adult housing.
Each member church sends delegates to the annual meeting, which
typically meets during the first part of November. At this meeting,
member church delegates decide long range direction for the camp
ministry and elect the camp board of directors. The directors establish
policy and have the general oversight of the camp according to the
long range plan. |
