Dining Pavilion

With room for 300 and a beautiful view of the lake, the Dining Pavilion is a great place for a company picnic, family reunion, and more. Fully fitted with tables and benches, a ceiling adorned with locally sourced cedar, and a full-service kitchen, the Dining Pavilion is perfect for outdoor gatherings with a view!

Lakeside Lodge

This small lakeside lodge offers a full kitchen and indoor meeting space for up to 40 people. It’s the perfect place to gather the family for a reunion, birthday party, or even a day at the lake together! Lakeside Lodge is located close to the RV park and lakeside cabins offering a great meeting place for larger camping groups.

Timberlake Chapel

Available for meetings and church events, the Timberlake chapel is a 2400 sq. ft. outdoor pavilion conveniently located in the middle of the main camp and features a large cedar-lined stage (milled from reclaimed timber on the camp!) with audiovisual reinforcement and seating for up to 300 people.

Fort Timberlake Lodge

Discover the Fort Lodge, a two-level retreat facility within the heart of Fort Timberlake. With a well-equipped prep kitchen, a spacious dining and meeting area for up to 80 guests conveniently connected to eight sleeping cabins, it's the perfect destination for group meetings and retreats. Timberlake Activity Center

The Timberlake Activity Center is a 9200 sq. ft. gymnasium with two volleyball/basketball courts, ping-pong, and lots of room for group games. For large groups looking for a place to host an event during the winter months, the activity center offers a climate-controlled, fully flexible space that can be transformed to meet any need.

Carpetball

Enjoy a variety of games and activities, including box hockey, carpetball, corral ball, human foosball, and nine-square in the air. You can also relax in the hammocks or take the bridge to Armageddon Island to enjoy the porch swings.

It’s a beach day at Timberlake! Swim off our large dock, play sand volleyball, build a sandcastle, or relax in a shady beach chair. Grab a kayak or canoe for a paddle, or make a splash on the water trampoline.

Love to fish? Timberlake is the perfect spot to cast your line and enjoy some time on the water! Bring your own gear and make sure to follow Nebraska fishing regulations—reel in a big one and make a memory!

It’s always a good day to be out on the lake! Grab a kayak or canoe and paddle your way through a chain of ponds that winds nearly half a mile. We’ve got all the gear you need—just don’t forget to pause and catch that unbeatable sunset view from your kayak!.

Challenge yourself and your group on Timberlake’s eleven-element obstacle course! Tackle each element at your own pace while building teamwork and leadership skills. Want extra team-building fun? Hire one of our trained staff to guide you through the course!

Timberlake is full of hidden trails that wind through 500 acres of wooded escape and restored prairie, bracketed by a chain of ponds on one side and the majestic Platte River on the other. Come out for the day or explore for an entire weekend!

Step 25 ft into the air and challenge yourself on our high ropes course! With four elements—the challenge course, zipline, power pole, and climbing wall—you’ll push your limits, build teamwork, and have a blast. $200/hr (10-15 people per hour)

Enjoy a scenic trail ride as you explore the trails and prairies around camp on horseback. Riders must be at least 6 years old and able to follow directions. For riders under 6, we can arrange pony rides in our arena.  $20/person/hour

Enjoy the beauty of Timberlake from a fun and relaxing hayrack ride! Travel around camp, take in the sights, and share laughter and stories with friends and family along the way. $30/half hour.

Cozy up at Timberlake with a crackling campfire! While you’re welcome to gather your own wood and start the fire, let our trained staff do it all for you. $25. Ask us about adding s’mores and hot cocoa for an extra treat (additional fee).

Frequently Asked Questions

Guest Groups and Rentals

  • To begin the reservation process, complete the Rental Request / More Info Form on the Group Rentals page of our website, or call our office at 402-757-3207. Our Guest Services Director will contact you to discuss available dates and facilities.

    Once a date is agreed upon, we’ll hold your reservation for three weeks and email you an estimate and contract. Your reservation is confirmed when we receive your signed contract and 20% deposit.

    To keep the process running smoothly, please remember that reservations work best when all communication flows between one designated group leader and the Guest Services Director.

  • Our prices vary depending on the amenities of the cabin. We also offer per person package rates for larger groups using multiple cabins or lodges. In general our cabin rentals range from $50 to $125 per cabin per night or $10-$15 per person for larger groups. Complete the Guest Group Information Request Form or call the Timberlake Office for availability and a quote.

    We typically charge $25 per campsite per night for guests staying in the RV park.

  • During June and July, we are only available for rentals on the weekends when Timberlake summer campers are not on site. Campground, cabin, and activity rentals, as well as day-use, are available from 3:00 PM on Friday through 11:00 AM on Sunday.

    Note: From March–May and August–November, we are open for guests 7 days a week, but please call ahead to make a reservation.

  • Yes! Our campground is open to individuals, families, and groups from March through November, and we ask that all guests email or call ahead to make a reservation.

    Note:

    • During June and July, the campground is only open on weekends, from 3:00 PM Friday through 11:00 AM Sunday.

    • We reserve space for guests, but specific campsites are first come, first serve, so you may choose your site when you arrive.

    • All 22 campsites have water and electricity, but only 12 sites include sewer hookups.

    • The RV park bathhouse is only available when frost is not expected, typically April 15 through October 15.

    • All guests in the campground are expected to adhere to Timberlake’s no-alcohol policy.

  • We’re glad you’re considering Timberlake! Unfortunately, we do not rent our facilities for weddings or wedding receptions, but we’d love to help you plan other special events or gatherings here.

  • Yes! We welcome day-use guests. There is a $5 per person fee for ages 6 and up. Guests are welcome to use any of our regular activities that do not require a Timberlake staff member, including kayaking, canoeing, hiking, fishing, swimming, Activity Alley games, and the obstacle course.

    Please check in at the office upon arrival and complete a day-use waiver form.

    Note:

    • During June and July, day-use is only available on Saturdays.

    • Groups of more than 10 people should call ahead and make a reservation.

  • Typical check-in is between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and check-out is before 11:00 AM.

    If you would like to arrange an earlier or later check-in or later check-out, please contact our Guest Services Director in advance to see if it’s possible.

    Please note: During June and July, we may not be able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs due to summer camp scheduling.

  • Pets are welcome on the grounds, but they must stay on a leash or in a crate. Pets aren’t allowed inside cabins or buildings. Pet owners should clean up after their pets.

  • Alcohol is not allowed anywhere on camp. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas and not in or around cabins or buildings. Thank you for helping us keep Timberlake safe and family-friendly!

  • For the safety of all guests, personal ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts are not allowed on camp. Only Timberlake staff are permitted to operate golf carts on site.

  • Yes! Fishing is available at Timberlake, but guests will need to bring their own equipment, fishing poles,and bait. Timberlake does not have equipment available for guest use. We ask that all guests follow Nebraska fishing laws.

    Guests ages 16 and up should have a Nebraska fishing license, which can be purchased at True Value Hardware in Central City.

  • Yes, Wi-Fi is available for guests near the office, dining pavilion, Front Street, and outdoor chapel areas. You can ask for the guest Wi-Fi login information in the office.

    Please note, there is no Wi-Fi in the cabins, Fort Lodge, or campground areas. If you plan to show movies or slide presentations, we recommend downloading them before arriving at camp.

  • Yes! Thanks to the installation of a new tower, most guests with major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and T-Mobile receive service throughout most areas of camp.

    Most guests also have enough signal to use data, though a few spots may have weaker reception due to trees or metal roofs.

  • Our commercial kitchen isn’t available for rental groups, but we offer full-service catering—let us handle the meals so you can focus on enjoying your retreat!

    If your group plans to provide their own food, here’s what’s available:
