Wrangler in Training (WIT) Program
Do you love horses, love kids, love camp and want to grow as a leader? As a Wrangler in Training, you’ll get hands-on experience working with horses, helping campers ride, and learning from our experienced wranglers. This is your chance to build confidence, grow in your faith, and be part of the Timberlake team—all while spending your days at the barn!

Requirements
Entering 9th - 12th Grade in the Fall of 2026
Experience working with horses
Loves serving others with a positive attitude
Organized, fun, and willing to jump in anywhere
A team player with strong people skills
In agreement with Timberlake’s doctrinal statement
Available at least one full week of camp (Sunday-Friday)
Responsibilities
Assist wranglers with chores, arena and ground classes, trail rides, horse care, and petting zoo management
Help lead your cabin group to and from activities and events
Engage with campers and their questions about the Gospel
Be a positive, Christ-centered role model
Learn from the wranglers and your assigned Cabin Leader
Pitch in wherever needed around camp
Prioritize camper safety and growth

Before You Apply
Pray - Take the time to sit in prayer with God as you consider joining the team.
Read - Carefully read the Timberlake Doctrine Statement
Organize Your References - Contact your previous employer or teacher, along with two spiritual references, to confirm you have their correct contact information.
Be Prepared - We’ll interview you for 20–30 minutes to get to know you, share what summer looks like, and answer any questions you have.

If offered a position → receive “Agreement to Serve” (contract) by email
Read and sign the agreement (parent/guardian must also sign)
